  • The “Convertible BottleJah” allows the last remaining contents of containers to be easily accessed.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” addresses a common problem with container-held products.
  • Whereas the final contents of container-held products can remain inside, and become inaccessible from, a hosting container, the “Convertible BottleJah” ensures those contents are fully accessible.
  • Whereas the bottom contents of a container cannot be accessed from the top opening, and because of the length of said container, the “Convertible BottleJah” allows the top portion of a container to be removed, thus allowing all contents to be easily accessed.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” addresses a problem that is well known to consumers.
  • Whereas the complete contents of a liquid-, gel-, cream-, and/or paste-hosting container cannot be completely accessed from ordinary dispensing means, the “Convertible BottleJah” eliminates the loss of those contents.
  • By ensuring complete access to all contents of its container, the “Convertible BottleJah” eliminates the waste of said contents.
  • By ensuring complete access to all contents of its container, the “Convertible BottleJah” reduces the frequency in which said contents must be replaced.
  • By eliminating waste of contents and reducing purchase frequency, the “Convertible BottleJah” reduces the costs of said contents for its consumers.
  • By ensuring complete access to all contents of its container, the “Convertible BottleJah” reduces landfill waste by delaying the need to dispose of existing containers and purchase new containers.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” is superior to other methods attempted to access complete container contents.
  • Instead of attempting to cut open a container for access to its lower contents, the “Convertible BottleJah” is designed to easily open and provide convenient access to said contents.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” retains a lid for application upon its lower container, which cannot be achieved by cutting open an ordinary container.
  • By retaining an enclosed container even after reducing the container size, the “Convertible BottleJah” prevents damage to its contents that can occur due to exposure, such as drying and spoiling, as well exposure to unwanted elements.
  • The bottom portion of the “Convertible BottleJah” is reusable.
  • By being reusable, the “Convertible BottleJah” further reduces the risk of plastic waste.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” ensures that users have convenient means to travel with items such as cosmetics, lotions, and toiletries.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” complies with regulations of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) pertaining to transport of liquids, gels, creams, and pastes.
  • The bottom portion of the “Convertible BottleJah” has maximum capacity of three and four-tenths fluid ounces (3.4 fl oz), which is the largest volume of liquids, gels, creams, and pastes allowed by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in carry-on baggage.
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” benefits the millions of travelers who must comply with such regulations of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
  • The “Convertible BottleJah” provides users with an alternative to required purchase of items specifically packaged in small volume intended for travel.
  • By eliminating that need to purchase travel-sized items, the “Convertible BottleJah” further reduces expenses and waste.

Invention Variations:

All components of the “Convertible BottleJah” can be made of various plastics applicable to its intended contents, such as but not limited to polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).

The “Convertible BottleJah” can be made with various content capacities, provided its bottom portion only holds a maximum of three and four-tenths fluid ounces (3.4 fl oz) in order to comply with regulations of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The “Convertible BottleJah” can also be made in variations in which the capacity of its bottom portion exceeds the maximum allowed by TSA, and for uses that do not include travel accommodation.

The “Convertible BottleJah” can be made in formats in which the pump dispenser is intended to remain in place when the cover piece is applied to the bottom portion of the container. In such variations, the pump dispenser may be a permanently attached portion of the cover piece, and said cover piece would not feature a flip-top lid.

In the immediately aforementioned variations of the “Convertible BottleJah”, the dip tube that attaches to the pump dispenser may be breakable at a particular length to accommodate the bottom container’s depth, or a separate dip tube of accommodating length may be included in final packaging.

Various materials, mechanisms, and methods can be used to form the break-seal that attaches the top and bottom portions of the “Convertible BottleJah”, including but not limited to perforations, pressure-sensitive tape, shrink-wrap sleeve, and/or fugitive adhesive.

The “Convertible BottleJah” may or may not include a pump dispenser, and/or can be made in variations that do not include said dispenser for contents that do not require such method of dispensing.

The top portion of the two- (2) pieced bottle may be packaged for separate sale, and for application to an existing bottom portion, which may or may not be done for and/or promoted as an environment and/or recycling benefit.

The “Convertible BottleJah” can be made in various shapes, sizes, and designs for each variation of contents it can store.

Mechanical Description: (This mechanical description is provided for specificity purposes only, and is not intended in any way to limit the dimensions, materials of production and/or scope of use regarding the “Convertible BottleJah.”)

In a format for use as a container of moisturizing lotion, the two (2) portions of the “Convertible BottleJah” container are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).  These two (2) portions attach to each other by perforated seal that allows manual separation.

The base portion has a capacity of three and four-tenths fluid ounces (3.4 fl oz), while the top portion has a thirteen and five-tenths fluid ounces (13.5 fl oz) capacity, allowing a total volume capacity of twenty fluid ounces (16.9 fl oz) when the separate portions are attached.

For initial application upon the top plane of the top portion of the container and for later application upon the top plane of the bottom portion is a covering piece. This covering piece features a centered aperture. Extending from a top side-plane of this covering piece is a flip-top cap.

For application upon and attachment to the aperture of the covering piece is a pump dispenser, from the bottom plane of which a dip tube does extend into the interior of the container.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is applied about the perforation that connects the top and bottom portions.

Usage:

To “Convertible BottleJah” can be used in the same format as a standard dispensing container, with its contents accessible by use of the pump dispenser.

When the contents have been depleted to a small portion that is no longer easily accessible by the pump dispenser, a user may remove said pump dispenser. The covering piece may then be removed from the top portion of the container. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape featured at the contact point of the top and bottom portions of the container may also be removed.

The user may then firmly grip the top and bottom portions of the container, and then manually twist those portions apart.

The covering piece may then be applied to the remaining bottom portion of the container.
